Introduction
Brannan is a leading British manufacturer and supplier of thermometers and measuring devices. Our founder, Sydney Brannan, created the company back in 1913, when he identified an opportunity in the manufacturing market for the production of glass thermometers.
Based in the north of England, our factory has a large production facility in automated glass-working machinery which has allowed us to expanded worldwide, supplying to over 130 countries.
Brannan have a huge range of laboratory glass thermometers to choose from, all manufactured out of our UK factory. Different spirit based liquid fillings are available in various colours and compositions to suit all industries. Our range of laboratory thermometers covers a wide range of scales and accuracies, both total and partial immersion options and is enhanced by an assortment of accessories.

Two of our most popular laboratory thermometer ranges are LO-tox™ and General Purpose.
Brannan LO-tox™ laboratory thermometer has an organic filling specially chosen to achieve a wide temperature span and provide the lowest practical levels of hazard. The high quality and clear readability of the glass tubes make these an ideal substitute for mercury thermometers.
Each LO-tox™ thermometer is fitted with a Brannan non-roll end cap which has a ring to allow the thermometer to be suspended.
Brannan General Purpose laboratory thermometers have been developed using specially selected filling material covering temperatures down to -100°C. All laboratory thermometers are supplied in individual, resealable, telescopic plastic tubes as standard packaging.

Brannan is proud to have created over the years what is now a state of the art calibration laboratory, accredited to both UKAS (0582) and traceable national standards.
Our calibration facilities conform to high industry standards such as; (BS) EN ISO and IEC 17025:2017.
We calibrate a comprehensive range of instruments including the glass lab thermometers and pride ourselves in ensuring we deliver a high quality service to our customers.
