These kits were designed to remove the challenges often associated with the process of biomarker quantitation by providing a simple and easy capture-digestion workflow that takes only hours instead of overnight. The kit purifies various target biomolecules via the formation of strong streptavidin-biotin bond.

The need to improve the ability to identify low-level biomarkers is forcing the analytical community to deal with extremely high levels of analyte and sample complexity, which makes quantitation challenging.

As these proteins are often present at low levels in complex biological matrices, an immunoaffinity capture step is typically employed to purify the sample and increase sensitivity.
