Brain tissues from patients with Alzheimer′s are characterized by several histopathological lesions such as neurofibrillary tangles and senile plaques. Neurofibrillary tangles are recognized by anti-Tau while senile plaques are recognized by b-amyloid and ubiquitin antibodies. This antibody localizes Tau proteins along microtubules in axons, somata, dendrites, astrocytes, and on ribosomes (polysomes.).
