Mast cell stabilizer that prevents release of histamine from mast cells

Cromolyn sodium salt is used as a mast cell stabilizer that prevents release of histamine and other pro-inflammatory mediators from mast cells. Cromolyn sodium salt is used as a chemopreventive and an anti-inflammatory agent.
